Court declares null and void and non-existent two counts of diversion of millions with subsidies for training and sends to archive the process .
“An outrage rude” to the law on the part of the Public Ministry left without trial for an alleged fraud of 4.5 million euros with the european funds from which they had been accused three managers of the defunct business association of Braga SMES-Portugal. The money was aimed to the realization of vocational training courses that were not performed.
The first hearing of the case was scheduled for yesterday, in the Court of Braga, but ended up not doing, because the judges concluded that the defendants – two of them missing in Brazil had been the target of two charges, one in 2014 and another in 2015, which was considered a “subversion of the legal framework of the criminal proceedings”. The first was declared null and void, because it is a “long description” of the evidence “without achievement” of their acts, and the second non-existent legally.
