The Portuguese Association for Consumer Protection (DECO) said today that it has received “a significant number of complaints” about instances of double billing in the telecommunications sector, under contracts with various operators.
In a statement, the Regional Delegation of Coimbra DECO claims that the complaints relate, “the majority of the cases of consumers who already have a contract with a telecommunications company” and that when they decide to change providers “convinced that the new company will handle everything “related to the previous contract,” see end up grappling with the simultaneous existence of two contracts, then with a situation of double billing. “
