Not with aircraft on order – which always take months to arrive – but through planes that are already available to start flying in the colors of the national airline. A proposal that reinforces the idea of ​​commitment to the company’s industrial design and give impetus to the growth of TAP.

Government yesterday received three binding offers for the acquisition of up to 61% stake in TAP, which They will be analyzed until Friday Parpública (with regard to finance project) and the airline itself (the technical part). Then the government will take a decision. And if all goes as expected – the deal will be closed by the end of June. In the race are Germán Efromovich, owner of Avianca, David Neeleman, Azul, and Miguel Pais do Amaral, who holds the Leya Group. The first two made long journeys in TAP to come to Portugal – opportunity where they could observe the wear on the aircraft of the Portuguese company and the need for fleet renewal. Both owners of airlines, the average age of the Avianca aircraft is about nine years, while Neeleman fleet is the youngest to operate in Brazil. The Blue planes have only four years on average.
