Airplane of Qatar Airlines landed emergency in Slabs – Journal News

A commercial airplane of Qatar Airlines landed emergency, this Sunday, at the base of Lajes, on Terceira island in the Azores.

A Boeing Qatar Airways which was the flight QR708 from the airport to Washington/Dulles in the United States, and Doha, in Qatar, had to perform an “emergency landing medical” this Sunday in the airport of Lajes, Terceira island.

Three passengers were assisted at the Hospital of the Holy Spirit, according to a statement from the Board of Directors of the Hospital of the Third, sent to the Lusa news agency.

“Two of the passengers already were discharged from the hospital, after observation in the Emergency department. One of them turned out to be hospitalized, and his state of health does not inspire care,” adds the same statement.

Source of Civil Protection of the Azores clarified that it was “of a landing of a medical emergency”, after a passenger if you have “sense evil”, after “some turbulence” during the flight, for which he was transported to the hospital.

A journalist from Al-Jazeera, which followed the board reported the turbulence is felt on board, which caused injuries to some passengers and forced the pilot to head for the Slabs.

The Portuguese Air Force also confirmed to the Lusa have been “a situation of medical emergency of a civil aircraft” on the Slabs.
