The Ministry of Education announced the binding of 1,453 teachers to the Educational Zone Tables.
Contract Teachers have expressed this Saturday, with the Ministry of Education, in Lisbon, against the binding system known as “brake standard,” who want to “bring down” as early as next week.
Teachers, told Lusa one of the gifts in the initiative, will present a joint lawsuit and appeal even admit to European courts. These activities are, said Professor Alice Mauritius Lusa, thousands of teachers, some with more than 20 year career followed and complete, that are seen now exceeded in linking the state by others who have five years of service.
On 27 February, the Ministry of Education announced that it would bind, to the Educational Zone Boards, 1,453 teachers under the application for the first time, the so-called “brake standard”: entry to the tables in teachers who have from five successive, annual and complete contracts, the same group of recruitment.
The “standard”, however, does not cover other teachers who have even more years of service, but in groups different recruitment, being an “injustice” that led to protests in recent times, for expressions of today and the announcement by the Center Zone Teachers Union (SPZC), delivery, next week, the Administrative and Fiscal Court (TAF ) of Coimbra, of an injunction to suspend the binding competition of 1,453 such teachers.
“There are teachers with 24 years of service, for two days, will not be bound,” said Alice Mauritius, adding that there are thousands of teachers in the same situation and that unions have done little to help solve the problem.
Alice Maurice said to have 14 years of service, and full year, but has three degrees and ran for several groups, which is permitted by the Ministry. “I will be impaired because I have three groups. What fault do teachers have to be able to run for two or three groups?” He asked.
In fact, he added, if Portugal respect European standards, Alice Mauritius argues that would already be in the boxes since 2005. Today feels “not worth abandoning the family” for so long. And there is motivation to continue to be a teacher
For now, she says, she and other teachers will continue to fight the situation and to repeal the “standard brake.” – That are not covered against teachers, but the injustice that this standard question.
