A strike by workers of supermarkets and hypermarkets had a membership of “many thousands of workers” in the country, today unveiled the Union of Trade, Office and Services of Portugal (CESP), without the percentage of membership.

The union recalled that the strike in super and hypermarkets, department stores and specialty stores was enacted to” make public the widespread dissatisfaction with the working conditions and salary “of these workers.
