Profit IN rises by 6.6% up to September to of 78.4 MEuro – Porto Canal

Lisbon, 07 nov (Lusa) – The net profit of US grew 6.6% in the first nine months of the year compared to the same period of 2015, to of 78.4 million euros, announced today the telecommunications operator.

“THE US remains heavily committed in bringing their new generation networks across the country. In the first nine months of 2016, the investment (total CAPEX) is in line with the performance recorded in the same period of last year, having reached 292,6 million euros,” he said.

The number of business services grew by 11.1% to 1,382 million compared with the same period of 2015.

“The coverage of the fixed network has reached, at the end of this semester, by 5.6% or 197 thousand homes over the same period, mostly outside of large urban centers. The largest network of new generation now arrives the 3,741 million houses”, refers to the US.

In cinemas, the evolution was positive until September, with the number of tickets sold to increase by 1.8%.
