The bank led by António Horta Osório reacted Wednesday to the news about the trip that the CEO made to Singapore, ensuring that all incurred personal expenses at the hotel were paid out of your pocket. The official reaction of Lloyd’s is in response to a story carried by the newspaper The Sun, which suggested that the Portuguese paid a personal nature spending taxpayers’ money during a business trip two months ago.
Through a statement quoted by Bloomberg, the bank ensures that “there was no violation of our policy and personal expenses are paid by Antonio”. Horta Osório also “remains committed to the group’s strategy and the bank,” adds the official reaction.
