The annual inflation accelerated in October, registering a rise of 0.9% compared to 0.7% the previous month, according to data released this Thursday by the National Statistics Institute (INE).

by Disaggregating by type of expenditure, the INE highlights a stronger push in the classes of leisure and culture (+2.6%) and transport (+0,9%). With negative growth, comes the clothing and footwear (1.4 per cent) while the evolution of the prices of food and beverage products were up less than the inflation rate (0,4%).
