The tax benefit on IRS that exists today for those who ask for invoices with NIF in hairdressers, restaurants, hotels and auto repair businesses in can be extended to expenditure on education and health, if the Government accepted the proposal made by the committee to reform the IRS.
In the reform, published on Wednesday final proposal, the group of ten tax experts suggests that this measure be included either as a measure of “protecting families” as a way to encourage the issuance of invoices.
Currently, those who ask for invoice with tax identification number for purchases and services made in those sectors are entitled to a discount equivalent to the IRS 15% of the input tax, up to 250 euros tax benefit.
The reform commission proposed that this benefit can be extended to expenditure on education and health, “possibly with adaptations” to the current regime.
This proposal is made separately with another that regards deductions from taxable income. The group of tax experts proposed in July – and now holds -. Idea of ending the variables in terms of expenditure on health, education and housing deductions, going to be fixed and equal deductions for all families with the same composition
The two proposals are independent. To the effect of deductions from taxable income, there would be a fixed amount for each taxpayer and each dependent to a value set by the Government. One of the arguments for reform commission is simplification.
On the other hand, to encourage taxpayers to continue to require invoices, the working group proposes that, in parallel, there is in education and health incentive resembling what is now given by the issuing invoices in hairdressers, car workshops, in restaurants and hotel services.
