Movement of goods in ports down 0.7% in the 2nd quarter … – LUSA

The movement of goods fell by 0.7% in the second quarter, settling at 20.4 million tons, interrupting the growth observed since the beginning of 2013, according to statistics released today by the INE transport.

The decrease resulted largely justifies the INE, the “decline of 14.5% in the movement of liquid bulk (35.3% of total cargo handled in the second quarter of 2014, compared to 41% in the second quarter of 2013).

The number of entries vessels in national ports decreased by 3.5%, contrasting with previous quarters, to 3,680 vessels.
