The CGTP announced this Tuesday a “National Day of Outrage, Action and
Fight “for November 13, in defense of the increase in wages,
job stability, restoration of employment rights and against
Government policies.
The decision was taken by the Inter National Council, after taking into consideration the results of the fortnight “information, claim and fight,” which ended Sunday and allowed thousands of workers listen.
The CGTP also marked a national march for November, date to be determined, the next discussion and vote on the State Budget for 2015 (OE2015), which should include protest initiatives across the country, culminating in a general action in Lisbon.
The Secretary-General of the CGTP, Armenian Carlos, explained at a press conference the day of the fight November 13 should integrate strikes, partial or total, in the public and private sectors, whose contours are defined in the respective sectors or companies.
The general increase in wages, the replacement of the working hours of 35 hours in public administration, replacement of public holidays and vacation taken are some of the issues underlying national day of protest, which maintains the requirement of resignation of the government and early elections claims.
“Each day with this government means more instability and insecurity of workers, “explained Carlos Armenian.
