The French Jean Tirole is the winner of the Nobel Prize for Economics this year, announced on Monday the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences.
The prize – with the official designation of the Central Bank of Sweden Prize for Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel – was handed to the teacher at the Faculty of Economics Toulose for his work on the big companies and the problems of market power that can generate.
Industrial Organization and Game Theory are some of the areas of study that has been dedicated to the economist, 61 years.
