Airbus closes largest order for airplanes in its history – Jornal de Negócios – Portugal

There are 250 aircraft will fly with the seal of IndiGo Indian company, the greater that country. The agreement is worth over 24 billion euros.

The aircraft manufacturer Airbus announced this Monday, August 17, the largest order ever closure of its history in number of aviõies.

The IndiGo Indian company will buy 250 A320neo aircraft, a contract valued at 26.6 billion (approximately EUR 24 billion).

The IndiGo has a 38% market share in its home country, referring to Bloomberg. It is India’s largest airline, operating over 500 flights a day.

With this new order, Airbus is left with a backlog of 4,100 A320neo aircraft.

The agreement had already been made public in October 2014, but has only now been officially closed.
