Inflation does not come off in the euro area – Express

The annual inflation in August was 0.2% in the eurozone, according to Eurostat released on Wednesday. This preliminary estimate of the European Union statistics agency points to an inflation similar to the previous month and below forecasts of analysts which pointed to 0.3%

In short, the annual inflation -. By same month last year – does not come off after a rate rise to positive territory in June, registering 0.1%. Still far from the target of below but close to 2% governing the monetary policy of the European Central Bank, whose team chaired by Mario Draghi back to meet on September 8 next week.
