Afonso Camões also recalled the notice issued to shareholders in the last general meeting of the company: “It is now clear that the Lusa is sustainable, but the state is not paying the actual cost of services provided by the Agency “.

Before reaching the Lusa in 2005, Afonso Camões was managing director at Controlinveste Media, with editorial responsibilities in the area and group management functions in companies of the Journal of Fundão, eastern Azorean ( Açormédia) and Daily News / Wood (EDN), between August 2005 and April 2009, a period which also assumed a vice-presidency of the Portuguese Press Association.
