Moviflor closes stores from October 1st

The Moviflor today announced that workers will temporarily close the shops from 01 October . In a statement the company explains that failed to meet the Special Revitalization Plan could not reach agreement with a potential investor

The temporary closure of four stores that the company holds in the country is a serious concern to workers.

Heard the TSF, Célia Lopes, the Trade Union of Workers, guess that this closure should be permanent, since there are months of unpaid wages not only for those who still work for the company but also to those who came through the collective dismissal or termination contract.

“It is a worrying situation because it was admitted to the August 1 an application for insolvency proceedings in the Commercial Court of Lisbon,” added Celia Lopes, who recalled that there is no information on this application due to the Current situation of Justice.

The union points out that last July, had already denounced the failure of the PER, the situation “that remains”, since workers do not receive wages or previous debts.
