According to the INE, the consumer confidence indicator (calculated via surveys to individuals) is taking over, so “the sharp upward trend observed since the early 2013″ and reaches the highest level since October 2006.

While the European Union’s economic sentiment fell 1.0 points in the euro area and 0.7 (to 103.6 and 99.9 points, respectively) in Portugal was up 1.1 point compared to August, to settle at 101 6 points.
This indicator thus improves again, after having fallen in August and stopped five months of consecutive increases.
