Telefónica has already signed with Vivendi to buy Brazilian GVT by 4, EUR 66 billion, strengthening the position of Spanish operator in the Brazilian market.
The deal also includes an exchange of shares. Vivendi is with a 12% stake in Telefonica Brazil after merging this with GVT, but the French operator will be only 7.5%, it was agreed that this will return 4.5% stake to Telefónica in exchange a share of 5.7% of Telecom Italia.
