The unemployment rate in Portugal stood at 14% in August, which was identical to the previous month, Eurostat estimates reveal, disclosed this Tuesday, September 30th.
Face the same period, Portugal was the second country where the unemployment rate more declined since a year ago was 16.1% in. At that time the Eurostat recorded 836 000 unemployed while now counts 725 000.

Unemployment falls in 22 countries
In the Euro area, the unemployment rate adjusted for seasonal factors was 11.5% in August, which also represents a stagnation from the previous month and a decline YoY.
Since the European Union as a whole reached a rate of 10.1%, the lowest since February 2012.
The unemployment rate fell in twenty-two Member States, increased four and stabilized in both countries.
Austria (4.7%) and Germany (4.9%) have the lowest rates of unemployment.
