Government prolongs the fourth time the deadline for companies spend using billing software certified by the IRS. The new deadline is December 31.
The order of the Secretary of State for Fiscal Affairs that extended the term recognizes that there is “a significant number of pending requests for certification of billing programs produced internally by companies . “
Companies that have a billing software produced internally as well have a few more months to get certification from the IRS, a process that requires time and high costs. The previous deadline expired yesterday.
The obligation of the companies to use software certified by the IRS began a phased manner, to January 2011 with the goal of reducing fraud and tax evasion, and the phenomena of invoicing.
In the initial plan were excluded companies that produce software integrated internally or by another company in the same economic group. A rule that was eventually amended in November 2013 by situations of abuse were detected.
