Rui Horta e Costa resigns the position in the CTT – Diário de Notícias – Lisbon

Resignation was disclosed in a statement by the CTT, after the Morning Mail next that Horta e Costa was charged in Operation Marquis

Rui Horta e Costa resigned this Wednesday to the post of non-executive director of the CTT. The information was disclosed in a statement of the CTT, which reveals that Horta e Costa “communicated today to the company his resignation from the position of non-executive director of CTT, as well as its unavailability to the exercise of identical functions in the mandate 2017-2019, for personal reasons”.

The release post, giving an account of the resignation of Horta e Costa comes on the same day that the Morning post moves that the now former administrator was charged in Operation Marquis, indicted for the crimes of corruption, tax fraud and money laundering.

according To the CM, Horta e Costa, who was administrator of the resort Vale do Lobo, is suspected of having “fostered the payment of illicit of two million euros Armando’s Rod and Carlos Santos Silva, through a portion of the money not declared in the business of selling a plot of land in Vale do Lobo to the Dutch Sander van Gelder”.
