The Momondo will have new owners. The booking platform for flights, hotels and cars online will be purchased by the group Priceline, owner of the rival Booking.
The deal was confirmed by the two companies and will freeze on the $ 550 million, equivalent to 514 million euros. The operation must be closed at the end of 2017, after evaluated by the regulators of the competition.
The group Momondo, with offices in the Uk and Copenhagen and currently held by Great Hill Partners, integrates the platform of the same name and even the Cheapflights, which allows you to compare the prices of flights.
After the business with the group, Priceline, Momondo will become part of the brand Kayak.
