Tax alert for fake emails that are being sent to taxpayers – Jornal de Negócios – Portugal

In a note published on its official page, the OT said that he had knowledge that some taxpayers have received e-mail messages in which he calls for the regularization of tax debts.

“These messages are fake and should be ignored. Your objective is to convince the recipient to download a file with malicious content. In any case you should perform this operation”, alert the institution led by Helena Borges.

The e-mail states that it is in course a procedure for the settlement of debts, stating that the taxpayer has an outstanding amount and you must click on a ‘link’ to proceed with the payment.
