National stock exchange in the red with the BCP to penalize – Jornal de Negócios – Portugal

The stock exchange of Lisbon maintains the negative trend of the start of the session. The PSI-20 down 0,48% to 4.596,10 points, with 12 companies in the red and six on the high. This is the fifth session of losses.

One of the themes that will mark the session in Lisbon it is the return of the Treasure of the Portuguese with the emission sindicada of debt, with which it aims to raise 3 billion euros, while offering investors a spread of 360 basis points above the rate in the “mid-swap” of the euro, reported Bloomberg.

This evolution takes place after last Monday it was announced that the bank will carry out a capital increase of 1.33 billion euros, with the new shares to be sold 9.4 cents. The Fosun, through the “holding” of Chiado, you will invest a maximum of 531 million euros to strengthen its position in the bank led by Nuno Amado to raise to 30% its position in BCP.

“The quotation of BCP should continue down, although there is the commitment of Fosun, subscribe for more 40% of the amount of the capital increase, to stay with 30% of the bank. Some shareholders are waiting for the transaction of the rights, so until that date the price should stay down,” explains Pedro Lino, ceo of Dif Broker, in remarks at the Business.

Even in the financial sector, the BPI yields 0.27 percent to 1,129 euros. Montepio lost 0,24% to 41,6 cents.

To penalize the evolution of the main index of the square the national are also the titles of the Jerónimo Martins. The retailer goes down to 1.13% for 15,775 euros. It is in this sector, the Sonae lost 0,47% to 85,5 cents.

In the energy, there is a tendency to set. EDP Renewables down 0.29 percent to 5,793 euros. And REN goes back 0,69% to 2,589 euros. On the other hand, the EDP advances by 0.80% to 2,762 euros. In the last few hours, CaixaBI has issued a note to research where it reduces the price target of the company and improves the recommendation of the company led by António Mexia.

Galp Energia grows by 0.32% to 14,115 euros, this at a time when oil prices are trading high in the international markets. The Brent of the North Sea, the reference to Portugal is advancing by 0.80% to 54,07 dollars per barrel.
