The average rate of change of inflation in 2016, as measured by the Consumer Price Index, stood at 0.6% and rose in December to 0.9% yoy, according to the INE.
According to the National Institute of Statistics (INE), in the past year. the Consumer Price Index (CPI) recorded an annual average rate of change of 0.6%, compared to 0.5% in 2015.
in December 2016, the CPI registered an annual variation of 0.9%, up 0.3 percentage points over the figure recorded in November.
In monthly terms, the CPI showed a variation of nil in December (down 0.5% and 0.3% in the previous month and December 2015, respectively).
