The calculation considers the variation of the National Index of Consumer Prices (INPC), published by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE).

The other tracks on the unemployment insurance were not adjusted. So, for those who received an average wage of less than R$ 1.450,23, the benefit continues to be equal to 80% of the income. R$ 1.450,23 R$ 2.417,29, the excess of 1.450,23 must be multiplied by 0.5 percent (50%) and added up to R$ 1.160,18.

In a statement, the ministry informs that the correction of the amounts paid is valid for all unemployed workers without just cause, the artisanal fishermen in the period of the closure, workers rescued in conditions similar to slave labor and professionals, with contracts suspended job (lay-off).
